Whether you’re eloping, celebrating your marriage, enjoying your honeymoon or simply marking a special moment together, Chai Lai Orchid offers a wonderfully different setting in which to celebrate.
Your experience will be built around a traditional blessing at a beautiful local wooden temple, with the elephants, jungle and river of Chai Lai becoming part of the day.
Perhaps we’ll begin with Morning Call, photographing your time with the elephants before travelling to the temple for your blessing. I’ll capture the ceremony and the quieter moments around the temple before we return to Chai Lai, where we can continue with the elephants.
You might walk together through the jungle, exchange rings beside an elephant, spend time with Chai Lai’s elephant family or finish with photographs in the river.
More Than Photography
I’ve been part of the Chai Lai story for many years and I’m also a practising Buddhist.
For many couples, a traditional Thai blessing is something completely new. At the temple, I can help you understand what is happening and the meaning behind the ceremony, allowing you to experience it as more than simply a beautiful setting for photographs.
I’ll also guide you naturally throughout the photography. You won’t be left wondering where to stand or what to do. My aim is to let you enjoy the experience while I capture the moments as they happen.
The result is a collection of photographs that brings you back to how the day actually felt — the temple, the elephants, the jungle and those quiet moments in between.
