Last Saturday night I was honoured to be invited to the VIP launch of “Fractured Dimensions” by Kevin Landwer-Johan, a New Zealand photographer living in Chiang Mai. A great night with some great friends and, an opportunity to make new friends.
Kevin’s photographic art is very unusual with collages made with up to 70++ photos and either mounted or seen as video montages on large screen TVs. Such a great concept and one that I think will be popular with major hotel chains throughout the world.
What a great night Le Meridien, Chiang Mai hosted. Fabulous canapés and free flow champagne. Greg and his team must be congratulated for getting behind this talented artist and putting on such a splendid party. And party we certainly did! The fact the whole event went so well is in no small part due to Kevin’s efforts to bring the photographic community together. Our small and tight knit group meet regularly and have a lot of fun as well as getting creative together. Chiang Mai is such a great place to be an artist of any sort.
All of these photos were taken with my little Fuji X100 camera which is so great at capturing the atmosphere and, it’s so light and small that it’s no problem carrying it around for the whole evening.
Here’s a link to the exhibition page on Facebook and the exhibition will be on view at the reception lobby of Le Meridien Chiang Mai for another 3 weeks. Please go to see it, I promise you won’t be disappointed :) https://www.facebook.com/events/1532057053707170/?fref=ts
If you are interested in the Fuji X100 you can read about it in the following link. It’s not the latest model but, I love that little guy

Oh, I just wanted to point out that although these are all from my camera, they are not all my images. These are for fun :)
Tip for the day; Never trust a green traffic light in Thailand.
